NEW HAMPSHIRE REDS:   originally bred in the state of (yes you guessed it) New Hampshire!   These are winter hardy birds and produce beautiful brown large eggs. BLACK GIANTS:    These laying hens were originally developed in New Jersey.   They are winter hardy like their cousins, the New Hampshire Reds, and they also produce wonderfully large brown eggs.
SILKIES:  both China and Japan lay claim to the origin of these beautiful birds.   Our Black Silkies can be quicky identified by their fluffy feathers on their heads and feet.
SILKIES:  In addition to the Silkies being great laying hens and beautiful to observe, these chickens make exceptional pets.   They love being held!
BUFF COCHIN:   These beautiful laying hens were first bred in China and made their way to the western world through the travels of Marco Polo!.   ARACAUNA:    It's easy to spot these ladies.  They have unusual black and white layers of feathers.   Originally bred in South America, these hens are sometimes called the "Easter Egg" hens because they produce blue and pink eggs!
